Tostock Village Hall Lottery - 100 Club

Thank you for your interest in joining The Tostock Village Hall Lottery – 100 Club.

As Tostock Village Hall turns 50 years of age (1974 – 2024), our plans to make substantial improvements to the hall are coming together. Our aim is to provide a facility to better meet modern needs and serve our community for at least a further 50 years.

To do this, however, we will need considerable funds, and we are working hard to raise these funds through both local and national grants. However, alongside this it is important for us to work together as a community to fundraise ourselves.

One way we can do this on a regular basis is to run our own village lottery, and we are pleased to confirm that the official arrangements for the lottery are now in place. This includes our license from Mid Suffolk District Council to confirm that Tostock Village Hall has been registered as a small society lottery in accordance with Schedule 11 of the Gambling Act 2005.


Here’s how The Tostock Village Hall Lottery – 100 Club works…

Entry into the lottery is paid quarterly and is fixed at £13.

This equates to just £1 per week. The draws will be held at the start of March, June, September and December each year. 

In order for your entry to be included in each draw, your standing order needs to be set up and in place by the start of the above months, i.e. 1 March, 1 June, 1 September and 1 December.

PLEASE NOTE: that if the first day of the month is a Saturday or Sunday then your payment will show as the first working day of the month and will still be accepted into the 100 Club draw for that quarter.

At each quarterly draw, six prize payments will be made. Provided we can attract 100 entries, each quarter the lottery will pay out a first prize of £250, with further prizes of £150, £100, £75, £50 and £25. This means that half of the lottery money is given out in prize funds, with the other half going towards the village hall improvement project.

PLEASE NOTE: Until we can get 100 entries into the lottery club, the prizes will be reduced from the amounts outlined above, so that every draw, we will still give prizes which equate to 50% of the money that we have received. If we are able to get over 100 entries into the quarterly draw, the prize money that we pay out will also increase to more than the above amounts.

Our lottery draw is open to all residents (aged 16 years or over) of the village, but friends or family from outside the village who are over the age of 16 can also join. You can have multiple participants from each household; indeed, you can request multiple entries in the same person’s name.

Standing Order Form

Your standing order should be paid before the 1st of the month when the draw will take place. i.e. if you join now your standing order should be paid before 1st December 2024 to be entered into the December 2024 draw.

Whichever way you choose to proceed, please email tostockvillagehall@outlook.com to let us know of your intention to participate and the names of the members of your household who you wish to be included and confirming you have arranged the necessary standing order for your entry.

The entries into our first December 2024 draw will be officially confirmed on 1st December 2024 and each entry will then be allocated a number into the quarterly 100 club draw. The winning numbers will be publicly drawn on the first Friday after the draw is closed (i.e for the first draw this will be Friday, 6th December 2024).
