Ice and Gritting

Please note that problems with icy roads, gritting and the need for extra grit in village bins, as notified by residents to the Parish Council, have been reported to Suffolk Highways with action requested a.s.a.p.   

New Road has been highlighted but is NOT on the County Council gritting schedule and the grit bin on the corner of New Road and Church Road, which has almost been completely used, is scheduled to be refilled at the earliest but no timescale has been provided as yet.

Rural Connect - Taxi

Communities Together East Anglia (CTEA) are launching a new service from Monday 4th November 2024.  It is called ‘Rural Connect’, and is funded by Mid Suffolk District Council. The service offers affordable transportation for local residents into Stowmarket for shopping, education, socialising, work, medical appointments or onward travel.
